Lynn brings with her both the educational credentials as well as a hands on work experience in a multitude of arenas. Laura has learned two blend her business expertise with each individual client’s needs. She uses her ability to communicate and work through difficult tasks, and bring new projects to light.

Laura has been an instructor/lecturer at the Illinois Tax Training Institute in Chicago, IRS Continuing Education (she wrote and taught multiple programs) she was also a guest lecturer for Governors State University, and for the American University in Rome. She will be providing a lecture in March 2023 to the University of NorthWestern Public Administration Masters Degree students on “Leadership during a crisis, and the effect emotional intelligence has on being a leader.”

Organizations, Accounts & Programs Lynn has participated in:

  • Taught IRS Enrolled Agent course work for the Illinois Tax Training Institute, certified to teach by the state of Illinois.
  • Owned her own tax business since 2009, previously Global Tax Masters
  • Worked at a mid sized CPA firm as a partner and Director of Tax/Strategic Business
  • Written academic research articles that have been published and/or presented at a conferenceV
  • One of 6 individuals chose in the country to be on the IRS IRPAC Committee (2015-2017)
  • Chosen from the IRPAC IRS Committee to be on the Strategic Planning Committee of the IRS – see attached document
  • As a doctoral student I was also chosen to participate in Governors State Strategic Planning Committee
  • Experience working with third-party individuals (Taxpayer Advocates) or others who interact with the IRS on behalf of her clients
  • Lynn has worked as an instructor and site manager for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) grant program which is an IRS initiative designed to support free tax preparation service for the underserved through various partner organizations. This service helps low to moderate income individuals, persons with disabilities, the elderly, and limited English speakers file their taxes each year lends itself to a total multi-cultural experience as well as multilingual environment.
  • Served as Executive Director for a nonprofit international organization for three years. The organization was founded in 1994 by Pierre Dulaine, Dancing Classrooms, to promote Social and Emotional Development while cultivating essential life skills through the art of ballroom dance with primarily fifth grade students both nationally and internationally. The Program was designed to include social awareness, confidence, and self-esteem in children through the practice of social dance.
  • Laura has extensive knowledge working with IRS Online Services for tax professionals and user design experience. Her expertise involves working with third-party organizations like the SBA, IRS, State of ILlinois and the Taxpayer Advocate.

In 2016 Laura Lynn formerly (Burke) was one of six individuals in the country to be chosen to be a member of the IRS IRPAC Committee – Information Reporting Program Advisory Committee (IRPAC)

The IRPAC committee advises the IRS Commissioner, chief legal council members, and other key IRS employees. Lynn was assigned to the subcommittee Employee Information Reporting/ Burden Reduction/ACA (Affordable Care Act).The committee was tasked to deliver input and discussion on relevant information reporting issues of mutual concern between Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”) officials and representatives in the public domain. The IRPAC committee provided constructive observations regarding current and/or proposed IRS policies, programs, and procedures, proposing improvements to information reporting and burden reduction.
